With the expansion of the Dublin area and increased traffic for safety reasons it became necessary to redesign the bridge and interchange at State Route 33 and State Route 161 / Post Road. The civil engineering firm developed a new series of on and off ramps while constructing and widening a new bridge over post road creating a new gateway into the city. James Burkart Associates, Inc. created a landscape scheme with emphasis on reduced maintenance on this large proposed interchange. Scottish links grasses were used throughout the project integrated with focal points of landscape beds and evergreen masses including allée of trees directing ones eyes visually through the site. The City of Dublin and the Ohio Department of Transportation would like to start construction of the project in the Spring of 2022.
