About the Project: Ohio University River Corridor Recreational Facilities
James Burkart Associates, Inc. developed a 9 hole golf course and recreational complex on property currently occupied by a substandard and dangerous university 9 hole course. The master plan joins lands across the Hocking River via a proposed bridge to achieve a 3,200 yard, challenging golf plan. The planning integrated a 20 tennis court complex, shared golf/tennis clubhouse and two practice football fields. The six (6) tennis courts adjacent to the Ping Recreation Center are planned to be covered during inclement weather with an inflatable structure.
