English gardensetting for this Georgian home |
|
|

About the Project: James Burkart Associates, Inc. created an English gardensetting for this Georgian home. A flood plain separating the home from a nearby golf green necessitated that the house be elevated above the 100-year flood level. An interesting serpentine stone retaining wall helped to form the platform for the house. A framed view from the private back patio reveals the distant glass garden house. A oval arrival court contains Belgium block cobbles with a brick border surround. Fronting the main entry to the house are topiary plants trimmed with spiral precision.
